House Minerva Castle begins as a distant, almost mythic landmark on the Institute grounds of Mars in Red Rising, then becomes a tangible strategic point during the canyon war in Golden Son. Across the series it evolves from a mere backdrop of Darrow’s early training into a symbol of House Minerva’s enduring legacy and the shifting alliances within the Institute. Its presence underscores the transition from youthful games of conquest to the brutal realities of inter-house warfare.
