Heliopolis emerges in the Red Rising Saga as a coastal city of strategic and cultural importance, first referenced in Dark Age and then fully realized in Light Bringer. Its cobbled wharfs, starburst tree groves, cliffside amphitheater, and floating islands mark it as both a scenic and militarily valuable locale. Across these books, Heliopolis transitions from a name on the map to a living setting that reflects the broader war’s shifting tides and the characters’ evolving fortunes.
