The Reaper appears here as a vast statue of a half-starved Red boy, chained between enormous iron pillars and bent beneath their weight. His open mouth holds a roar in stone, while shattered columns nearby break into icons and screaming faces. The image makes the Reaper less a person in this passage than a powerful monument to pain and resistance.

Description

The Reaper is depicted as a statue ten times the size of a real man, shaped as an emaciated Red boy. His back is bent, his mouth opened in a fixed roar, and chains bind him to two immense iron pillars. Around him, shattered columns reveal broken shapes, icons, and screaming faces, giving the monument a stark, anguished presence.
