Pitlaugh, the old wolfhound, began as a loyal and imposing companion, his massive frame a deterrent and friend to those in the household. His story took a tragic turn when a Warden's brutal attack broke his back, leaving his rear legs paralyzed at a grotesque angle as he crawled and whimpered in pain. From fierce protector to pitiable victim, he symbolized the innocent casualties of the conflict between men and sorcery.

Description

A large, muscular old wolfhound weighing around ten stone, with thick graying fur that speaks of many battles, powerful jaws filled with strong teeth, and a broad head with wise, fierce eyes. His ears show signs of past fights. In his most common state he stands imposingly, but later appears with a severely twisted spine and rear legs splayed at unnatural angles. His presence is one of raw canine power mixed with the weary dignity of age.
