First seen · Book 7

Karime is a supporting character in Murderbot Diaries (Book 7).

Gender: female
Age: older adult
First appears: Book 7
Books: 1

Karime emerges in System Collapse as a pragmatic, older member of the Preservation survey team whose understated competence proves vital during the colonists' crisis. Though introduced late in the series, she quickly becomes a linchpin between technical troubleshooting and diplomatic outreach, working alongside Mensah and Pin-Lee to draft agreements while relying on SecUnit protection. Her steady presence underscores the series' theme that quiet resilience and paperwork can be as decisive as combat in resolving planetary-scale conflicts.

Description

Karime is an older adult woman, older than Mensah, with a practical appearance that doesn't evoke an intrepid space explorer. She wears a bulky protective environmental suit, sometimes seated on a cushion in a rock-hewn room. Her demeanor is thoughtful and composed, focused on tasks like preparing documents.
