Ranette's Hook Sphere Device is one of the gunsmith Ranette's ingenious inventions, built to extend the reach of a Coinshot's Allomantic Pushes. In Shadows of Self it appears as a rope weapon tipped with a metal spike-hook. The design lets an Allomancer launch and drive the hook at targets well beyond arm's length. By The Bands of Mourning the device is still listed among Wax's tools, though the text records no new details about it, a sign of how Ranette's craftsmanship has become part of his standard Allomantic kit.
