Hazekiller rounds are specialized ammunition designed to counter Allomancers and Feruchemists, giving ordinary gunmen a fighting chance against Metalborn foes. In The Alloy of Law, Wax carries a set of four distinct hazekiller types: ceramic-tipped bullets that Coinshots cannot Push, ceramic-sided rounds, noise-making cartridges meant to overwhelm Tineyes, and large hollow-tipped bullets for punching through enhanced toughness. By The Lost Metal, the concept has grown more advanced. Oversized bullets carry a secondary explosive charge built to eject Hemalurgic spikes, which reflects how the threats of Scadrial's modern era have escalated toward Hemalurgy and the Set's spiked agents.
