Speed bubbles are spherical fields of distorted time created by Allomantic Slider and Pulser abilities, most notably through burning bendalloy (speeding time) or cadmium (slowing it), and they become a signature tool of Wayne and Marasi in the Era Two adventures. In Shadows of Self, the bubbles are depicted with vivid sensory detail, their crisp borders separating swirling mist inside from frozen mist outside like a gauze curtain. By The Lost Metal, the phenomenon is described with near-technical precision as a shimmering sphere roughly ten to fifteen feet across, reflecting how familiar and tactically refined the technique has become, including the hazard that projectiles leaving a bubble are deflected unpredictably.
