Kredik Shaw, the "Hill of a Thousand Spires," was the Lord Ruler's towering palace in Luthadel, a forest of jagged spires that embodied a thousand years of Final Empire tyranny. It is where Vin and Kelsier's crew struck at the heart of the empire and where Vin killed the Lord Ruler, after which the palace was largely abandoned and left to decay as a grim monument. By the end of the Lord Ruler's era it lay in ruins, and when the world was remade at the close of The Hero of Ages, its remnants survived only as relics of a vanished age, ruins that later Scadrians regard with a mix of reverence and curiosity.
