The Jhag Odhan is a vast, wild stretch of plains on the continent of Genabackis, a remote and largely untamed wilderness beyond the reach of the region's cities. In Gardens of the Moon it is glimpsed only at the margins of the story, as the place to which the T'lan Imass withdraw, lending it an air of ancient mystery and hinting at purposes older than the Malazan campaign. By Deadhouse Gates the region has receded from view, surviving mainly as a name tied to the Imass and to the deep history of the world.
