Moby is a small winged monkey first glimpsed in Darujhistan as the lively pet of the scholar Mammot, chirping, circling the study and greedily accepting grapes. After Mammot's fall, the creature follows Crokus Younghand to Seven Cities, where it is revealed to be something stranger: a bhok'aral bearing yellow eyes and needlelike fangs, possibly a familiar with more history than it lets on. Clinging first to Fiddler and then attaching itself firmly to Crokus, Moby grows from comic household pet into a blood-stained, fiercely loyal and if terrified, proud guardian of those he claims as his own.

Description

Moby is a small monkey with wings, a compact, nimble body, and an alert, restless posture. His most distinctive feature is his bright red tongue, often visible as he chirps or peeks curiously at his surroundings. He is lively and quick, equally at home fluttering through the air or perched on a desk. His presence feels playful and inquisitive. A tiny bhok'aral creature with a wizened face and yellow eyes that glitter with intelligence. His mouth bristles with needlelike fangs, and he clings possessively to shoulders or tunics with small, agile hands. His demonic appearance is softened by his childlike mannerisms and the way he curls up to sleep or plays with his own tail.
