Gothos is an ancient Jaghut wizard whose name first surfaces in Gardens of the Moon as the author of the enigmatic work *Gothos' Folly* and as a figure said to command both Thelomen and Jaghut. In Deadhouse Gates the legend takes physical form: a towering, tusked Jhag with greenish weathered skin, an iron-hued ponytail bound in chain, and eyes the color of dirty ice that speak to immense age. That book also reveals his most consequential tie, as the father of Icarium, the Jhag whose tragic, cursed existence bears the weight of his lineage.

Description

Gothos is identified as an ancient Jaghut wizard, but his physical appearance is not described. No details are given about his height, build, coloring, hair, eyes, facial features, clothing, or distinguishing marks. Standing seven feet tall with a solid, broad-shouldered build, his skin has a greenish weathered tone that speaks to his non-human nature. An iron-hued ponytail bound with dull chain hangs down his back. His eyes are the color of dirty ice, and tusks jut from his lower lip. He wears faded ochre robes that drape across his massive frame, the fabric worn and aged like the being who wears them.
