Gesler began as a sergeant before being reduced to corporal, a marine whose competence and experience mark him as a veteran of many campaigns. His north Kanese blood shows in his flat, wide face, and his head bears the marks of a razor—scars some still crusted with dried blood. He serves with gruff deference, his ironic grin and heavy eyes suggesting a man who has seen too much yet continues to serve. His nose is broken during an encounter with Coltaine, blood gushing from the injury.
Description
A man with a flat, wide face showing north Kanese heritage, his head shaved to reveal razor scars, some still marked with dried blood. His face bears old scars, and he carries himself with gruff deference. An ironic grin often plays across his features, though his eyes are heavy with experience. He wears marine gear including a surcoat bearing a dull tin sigil, with a larger stain where the dye has weathered differently. A sword hangs at his side.
