Will Auceptin's Paper Crane begins as a simple, precisely folded white paper crane in Book 2, serving as a mystical link and divination focus for the infant Sequence monster Will. Across the series, it evolves from a passive mystical tool into an active conduit for Will's growing consciousness and power, becoming increasingly significant as Will's abilities develop. The crane's role expands from mere divination focus to a symbol of Will's connection to the mystical world, reflecting the infant monster's journey from vulnerability to greater agency.
