Seductive Mushrooms first appear in Volume 2 as grotesque, palm-sized fungi whose "crystal-red spotted caps" are revealed to be bloodstained human scalps, hinting at a parasitic or necromantic origin. Across the series they evolve from mere macabre set-dressing into active agents of corruption: their spores can hijack corpses, turning victims into mushroom-laden puppets that spread the infestation. Later volumes show the mushrooms developing rudimentary hive intelligence, coordinating ambushes and even bartering with cultists for fresh bodies. By the final arc they are recognized as an invasive byproduct of a fallen Seer’s ritual gone wrong, forcing protagonists to burn entire districts to contain their spread.
