The High-Ranking Angel first manifests in Volume 2 as a twelve-winged entity whose black plumage marks it as a fallen or corrupted celestial being. Across the series, this angel evolves from a distant, awe-inspiring figure into a pivotal actor whose wings become both a symbol of lost divinity and a conduit for forbidden knowledge. Its presence grows from a single, enigmatic appearance into a recurring motif that ties together the series’ themes of ascension, corruption, and the blurred line between gods and monsters.
