The East Municipality Cafeteria begins as a nondescript, grease-stained eatery in the rougher districts of Tingen, serving as little more than background color in the early chapters of the series. Over the course of the narrative, the cafeteria quietly transforms from a mere setting into a recurring waypoint for Klein Moretti and his allies, witnessing pivotal clandestine meetings, chance encounters, and the subtle shifting of loyalties among the Nighthawks and their informants. By the later volumes, its unassuming façade belies its role as a nexus for information exchange and the occasional flashpoint of danger, mirroring the broader evolution of Tingen from sleepy backwater to crucible of supernatural intrigue.
