Comisaría Policial Rice begins as a modest Backlund precinct handling routine local cases in Volume 2, yet quickly becomes entangled in the city’s escalating supernatural crises. As the series progresses, the station evolves from a simple law-enforcement outpost into a covert battleground where Nighthawks, Mechanical Hivemind agents, and cultists converge, forcing its officers to confront mysteries far beyond ordinary crime. By the later volumes, Rice’s corridors and holding cells serve as critical waypoints for Klein Moretti’s investigations, its mundane façade masking the growing intersection of mundane policing and the hidden world.
