Cementerio Grimm emerges in Volume 2 as the principal burial ground of Backlund, a fog-shrouded necropolis whose crypt-lined avenues and mausoleums quietly anchor the city’s uneasy relationship with death. Across the series it evolves from a static landmark into a nexus of ritual activity, where the boundary between the living and the spirit world is repeatedly tested by Klein’s investigations and the machinations of secret organizations. Its gravestones and catacombs become both stage and witness to the escalating supernatural conflicts that reshape Backlund’s destiny.
