Doragu Gale enters the narrative as a seemingly minor antagonist whose infidelity with Erica Taylor and membership in the secretive Club Quelaag mark him as a figure of suspicion. Across the series, his arc transforms him from a secretive husband into a reluctant ally, his loyalties tested by the shifting allegiances and dangers surrounding him. His evolution is defined by the tension between his domestic life with Mary Gale and his clandestine meetings with Erica, punctuated by the gifts he offers and the secrets he harbors.
