Diablo first appears in Volume 2 as a formidable hellhound companion, its sleek black coat and magma-like eyes marking it as a creature of infernal origin. Throughout the series, this demonic entity evolves from a loyal guardian into a more complex supernatural ally, its fiery transformations and sulfurous presence becoming increasingly integral to the unfolding mysteries. Its ability to shift between canine and towering demonic forms symbolizes the dual nature of power and restraint that defines its role in the larger narrative.
Description
A large black dog with lush dark fur that can ignite in red and blue flames, sharp white teeth stained with blood and rust-like marks, and eyes resembling molten magma. It emits a strong sulfur odor and possesses powerful claws. When provoked it rapidly expands into a two-to-three-meter-tall demonic form with giant bat wings and patterned goat horns sprouting beside its ears.
