Childeric I began as a Merovingian king whose youthful follies led to exile among the Thuringians, where he was hospitably entertained. After four years, the Franks restored him to his throne, but his reign proved feeble and obsolete, transforming him from active ruler to a royal phantom confined to monastic life with a shaved head.
Description
Childeric I presents as a young adult male of Merovingian descent with a shaved head marking his monastic confinement, wearing simple robes that replace the royal garments of his earlier years. His youthful features carry the weight of degradation, pale skin and humbled demeanor reflecting his transformation from king to monk.
