Ammonius was a Nitrian monk whose actions in Alexandria led to his execution under the rod of the lictor. Following his death, his body was transported to the cathedral where his name was changed to Thaumasius, transforming him from condemned monk to venerated figure in the religious conflicts of Alexandria.
Description
A man of sturdy build shaped by the harsh life of the Nitrian desert, his features weathered and lined from years of ascetic discipline. His eyes hold the fierce intensity common to desert monks, and his simple robes reflect the austere life of the Nitrian community. His presence carries the weight of absolute religious conviction.
