The Burrow, the ramshackle, magically propped-up home of the Weasley family near Ottery St Catchpole, becomes Harry Potter's first true taste of a loving wizarding household when Ron, Fred, and George rescue him from the Dursleys in a flying Ford Anglia. Crowded, chaotic, and full of enchanted oddities, from self-washing dishes to a garden infested with gnomes and a clock tracking each family member, it serves as a warm counterpoint to Privet Drive. By the fourth book it has become Harry's summer refuge and the launching point for the Quidditch World Cup, though the growing shadow of Voldemort's return begins to touch even this haven.
