The Hogwarts Quidditch Pitch is the beating heart of school sporting life, where Harry Potter discovers his natural gift as a Seeker and wins glory for Gryffindor. Over the years it becomes a stage for danger as well as triumph, from a jinxed broomstick and a rogue Bludger to a Dementor-haunted storm match. In Harry's fourth year the pitch is transformed entirely, its grass overgrown with towering hedges to form the treacherous maze of the Triwizard Tournament's third task, the gateway to Voldemort's return.
