The Hospital Wing is Hogwarts' infirmary, a long ward of curtained beds and wide windows overseen by the formidable Madam Pomfrey. Over the series it becomes Harry's most frequently revisited refuge, where he wakes after confronting Quirrell, regrows his bones after Lockhart's botched spell, and recovers from dementor attacks. It also serves as a place of revelation: petrified students lie there during the Chamber of Secrets crisis, the Time-Turner rescue of Sirius begins and ends within its walls, and after Voldemort's return it hosts the bitter confrontation between Dumbledore and Fudge that splits the wizarding world.
