Griphook is a Gringotts goblin who escorts Harry to the Potter vault in the first book, flashing a nasty grin as he handles the cart ride through the depths. Though minor here, his role expands in later tales where his resentment toward wizards leads him to ally with Hermione's stolen sword plot, only to betray the group in a desperate bid for goblin rights, meeting a grim end in the Battle of Hogwarts.
Description
Swarthy-skinned goblin with a wiry, short build, standing about a head shorter than a young boy, his clever face features sharp angles and a pointed beard. His very long fingers and feet give him an elongated, spider-like grace. Dressed initially in a scarlet and gold uniform, he moves with sly precision, his nasty grin revealing pointed teeth.
