Sevrens served as King Shrewd's valet, an unremarkable background figure whose tidy world unraveled when he was poisoned dead amid the escalating threats to Buckkeep. His sudden demise highlighted the insidious reach of the court's poisons, linking him to similar fates like Rowd's. Minor though he was, his death amplified the atmosphere of peril surrounding the king and his bastard grandson Fitz.
