The Old Ploughman appears briefly as a rural everyman in the Six Duchies countryside, his rangy tall build and callused hands embodying peasant resilience. In his single chapter, he offers grounded perspective amid Fitz's upheavals, untouched by grand plots. He stands as a poignant reminder of the simple folk whose lives orbit the Farseer storms.
