Lord Jessup appears briefly as a minor inland noble, his long mustache and fitful temperament marking him amid the court's tensions. Mentioned in passing during political maneuverings, he embodies the volatile nobility surrounding young Fitz's upbringing. His single vivid appearance underscores the precarious alliances at Buckkeep, fading quickly from the central intrigue.
