Once a muscular enforcer in Regal's coterie, Burl's body swelled with fat as his role demanded less brawn and more blind obedience, his loyalty twisted by the Skill's draining hold. He tormented Fitz with unrelenting Skill-pain alongside Will and Carrod, his flesh later savaged by wolf claws that tore his leg and severed his throat in vicious retribution. From brute strength to rotting end, he embodied the coterie's hollow menace, discarded in the shadows of Regal's failed ambitions.
