The Hellspawn Familiar is a demonic creature born when an ordinary goat is twisted by infernal forces into a horse-sized monstrosity wreathed in phantom black flames. In its first appearance it is a grotesque horror marked by three pairs of human-like breasts and a wet chittering cry. By later floors the familiar has grown into a draft-horse-sized beast with stubby wings, crackling skin, and shimmering heat waves. In its most advanced form it becomes a goat-dragon hybrid with ethereal wings and flaming hooves, able to fly on the extreme heat it generates. Across the series it serves as a recurring marker of how the dungeon's hellish magic keeps escalating.
