The Scavenger's Daughter is a divine patch tied to the Scavenger, a god of the dungeon's pantheon, and its power manifests as crackling black energy in its bearer's interface. In The Eye of the Bedlam Bride it first appears as a volatile boon. It amplifies fire attacks with the effects of vinegar potions, and a voice warns of power that has not been diffused. By This Inevitable Ruin it is understood as a divine patch whose benefits rise and fall with how strongly the Scavenger's presence is felt. It is still present in A Parade of Horribles, though that book adds little new information about it.
