Zeynep is a level-52 mage, self-styled "Boring Ol' Mage," who first appears in The Eye of the Bedlam Bride as a calm, practical spellcaster. She casts a privacy bubble for her companions and steps in to restrain her drunken, jealous partner Emir Akbas when he lashes out at Carl, silencing him with Mute and apologizing for his behavior. Her later appearances turn darker. She is summoned as a totem whom Li Jun angrily refuses to accept as his cousin, and in This Inevitable Ruin she resurfaces only as a dead crawler whose corpse has been grotesquely modified. That fate is a grim reminder of how the dungeon desecrates even its quietly capable survivors.
Description
Zeynep is an older woman in her late fifties, possibly of Middle Eastern heritage; no further details of her face, hair, eyes, or build are specified. Her appearance is that of an experienced mage, though the text gives no precise description of her clothing. A privacy bubble is associated with her, a subtle boundary that lends her presence an air of composed independence. Zeynep is a human woman, but no details of her height, build, skin tone, hair, clothing, or age are specified. The clearest visual feature is her lifeless eyes, fixed in a vacant, still expression. She is seen lying motionless on a surgical table; no further appearance details are given.

Emir Akbasjealous companion
Zeynep acts as a steadying influence on her volatile companion. She excuses his hostility toward Carl as drunken jealousy, physically tries to hold him back, and finally silences him with Mute, apologizing on his behalf.
