The Author Steve Rowland appears as a level-50 forest troll, a naked, tusked figure with a high black mohawk and a massive club, whose odd theatricality earns him the air of an elderly stripper. He becomes part of the unlikely company around Samantha and later moves with the group protecting Imani, even slow dancing with Britney when the music calls for it. His club and troll strength make him useful in danger, but the absurd spectacle of Steve remains inseparable from his identity. During the escape, a demon crab seizes him and drags him into hell, leaving his story on a shriek.

Description

Steve is a hulking, green-skinned forest troll with a broad, powerful build and prominent tusks that make his face unmistakably monstrous. A high black mohawk rises sharply above his head, contrasting with his rough, trollish features. He is most often completely naked, carrying a massive wooden club that looks crude and heavy in his grasp. His imposing silhouette has an unexpectedly theatrical quality, like an elderly stripper who has wandered into a battle.
