Princess Lunette is less a character than a vessel: a full-sized pure naiad rendered as an incomplete flesh golem, recognizable by her flowing seaweed dress, impossibly long silky white hair, rigid boardlike posture, and the brackish-water scent that clings to her. In The Eye of the Bedlam Bride she becomes the prospective new body for Samantha, who hopes Shi Maria's spell can transfer her into it. In This Inevitable Ruin her strange origins come into sharper focus. Edgar reveals that the body was originally his tattoo, and its exposed heart and pulmonary system end up as a source of replacement organs used to save Louis. Throughout, her own history and inner life remain a mystery.
Description
Princess Lunette is full-sized, with silky white hair that hangs down to the pavement and a flowing dress made of seaweed. She holds herself rigidly, almost like a board, and is described as an incomplete flesh golem. A brackish-water smell clings to her presence; no specific facial features, eye color, or other coloring are given. Princess Lunette is described as slight and beautiful, with the gills of a naiad. She occupies a flesh-golem body whose opened chest reveals its heart and pulmonary system, lending her delicate appearance an uncanny, constructed quality. Her skin tone, hair, eyes, precise facial features, and clothing are not specified.
