During the parade, Muchen is part of the group with a giant menu mounted atop its float. He carries a sign declaring that he had a wife and children, then turns it around to show their names. That small gesture gives the parade’s spectacle a deeply personal, grieving human presence.
Description
Muchen is identified only as a man; no age, height, build, skin tone, hair, eyes, or facial features are described. His defining visual detail is the sign he holds, reading “I had a wife. I had children,” with their names on the reverse. He appears among a group beside a float topped with a giant menu; his clothing and other distinguishing features are unspecified.
