Damascus Steel, known as "Steelie" around the Desperado Club, is a level 75 ifrit stripper whose smoky, scarred, tattooed presence makes him hard to forget. In The Eye of the Bedlam Bride he is a friendly acquaintance of Donut and Katia who helps Carl reach the hidden Guild of Suffering. He is drawn into a family tragedy when his mother Astrid, who had placed him at the club to protect him, is killed in a plot he blames on his father Hamed. Turning down a mercenary role with Carl's faction, he leaves the stage to seek vengeance, and by This Inevitable Ruin he and his brother Anaconda are former strippers hunting their father through the club.
Description
Damascus Steel is a large, well-toned man with dark purple skin, pointed ears, and short, blunt horns resembling a baby goat’s. His eyes are completely white, without pupils, and smoke rises from his hair and skin, curling out of his eye sockets as well. Old faded tattoos cover his arms; a broad chest tattoo shows spread batlike demon wings surrounding an anatomical heart, while old red welts and scars mark his body. He wears an open embroidered vest and wide, wavy trousers in an Aladdin-like style, carrying himself with a smoky, deliberately theatrical presence. The text identifies Damascus Steel as male but gives no physical details. His height, build, skin tone, hair, eyes, facial features, clothing, and distinguishing marks are unspecified.
