Bucket Boy is a skinny young crocodilian NPC who begins as a coin-collecting kid scraping tips around the club before stumbling into mercenary work and, ultimately, the role of a low-tier healer. In The Eye of the Bedlam Bride he shows surprising backbone by refusing to cure mercenaries of slug disease. By This Inevitable Ruin he serves as a frontline medic for Carl's side, uneasy with the gritty realities of care and troubled by gaps in his memory that other strippers don't seem to share. His arc ends that book with him queasily delivering Kiwi's child in the medical tent, a reluctant but steadfast ally.
