Benjamin is a pet salamander associated with Ricky Joe. Tied to the end of a stick, he is swallowed by Mongo and later regurgitated dead and slimy. Ricky Joe is subsequently seen clutching the twice-eaten corpse, leaving Benjamin as a small, grimly comic trace of the dungeon’s cruelty.
Description
Benjamin is described only as a small salamander, so his exact coloration, markings, and species are unknown. He has the compact body, short limbs, and tapering tail typical of a salamander, with no individually noted features. In the scene where he is seen again, his body is slimy and limp.
