Mrs. Beckitt first appears as a tall woman in polished grey business clothes, her expression numb and unreadable. That empty composure gives way to a more disturbing role when she and her husband become part of Victor’s spell, their energy drawn into his work. She is a quiet, unsettling presence whose blankness makes the occult danger around her feel all the more stark.
Description
Mrs. Beckitt is tall and lean, with a hungry, sharply drawn face and dead, vacant eyes behind glasses. Her stylish grey business clothes are restrained and precise, and she wears no jewelry, watch, or wedding ring. A calm expression rests on her features, but it seems entirely devoid of feeling, leaving her with a numb, unnerving presence.
