Sacred Valley is the isolated mountain homeland where Lindon was born Unsouled among the Wei clan, a backwater whose Foundation- and Copper-level sacred artists believe themselves strong while remaining ignorant of the wider world. Sealed by ancient Remnants and later revealed to be a deliberately suppressed region tied to the Monarch Northstrider's study and the dreadful Dreadgod threat, the valley is doomed in a future glimpsed by Lindon, setting him on his path to grow strong enough to save it. In Underlord, Lindon returns transformed, finding a valley of clan territories and orus groves still lit by Samara's Ring but menaced by the Dreadgod-cult invasion, and by Uncrowned it has become the beloved, half-remembered home he must leave behind once more to fight for its future.
