Sha Miara is the young Monarch of the Ninecloud Court, a child ruler whose authority far outstrips her apparent age. She first appears in Unsouled as a fleeting, dazzling vision of power, cloaked in peacock feathers and wielding a sword of rainbow light as she surveys the elders with a sovereign's bearing. By Uncrowned she resurfaces as a girl of fourteen or fifteen with pale skin and long blood-red hair, grave and focused, her composure hinting at the immense power behind her youthful face. Across the series she embodies the gulf between Cradle's highest powers and those still climbing toward them.
