Naru Saeya emerges in the Underlord arc as the poised, noble sister of Emperor Naru Huan, her peacock-feather adornments and regal bearing marking her as a high-ranking sacred artist of the Blackflame Empire. By the Uncrowned tournament, she has fully embraced her role as a frontline competitor, trading courtly elegance for battlefield practicality—emerald wings unfurled, hair tied back, and robes chosen for combat rather than ceremony. Across these books, Saeya transitions from a peripheral noble presence into an active, high-stakes combatant whose personal stakes rise alongside the Empire’s survival.
