Tim is first encountered as a ten-year-old boy: pale, slender, drenched, and armed with a heavy pistol he can barely seem suited to carry. A blistered foot leaves him limping. In a later account he is described as a fair-haired adolescent of about thirteen, paralyzed by a ray before eventually regaining consciousness; the text supplies no further relationships or life beyond these glimpses.
Description
Tim is a slight, frail-looking boy, about ten in his first appearance, with pale, untanned skin and dark hair. His light clothes are soaked, and a sandy-yellow jacket stands out against them; his thin belt carries an oversized, heavy pistol. He has a somewhat clumsy bearing, and his blistered foot makes him limp. A later description calls him fair-haired and around thirteen, so the text offers differing snapshots of his appearance.
