The Singer is a soldier in a unit, remembered by the songs he performs beside the dugout. His battered acoustic guitar and breaking voice make him a modest, human presence amid the military setting; no further history is given.
Description
The Singer is identified as a soldier, but his height, build, complexion, hair, eyes, and facial features are not described. He wears practical military clothing, with no specific uniform details provided. His most distinctive possession is a battered acoustic guitar, and his presence is defined by the unsteady, heartfelt voice with which he sings.
