The woman appears in a dirty alley on the outskirts of a Chilean town, presenting herself as a worn, short-statured street girl. This outward identity is a disguise worn by an alien lalyapta, which visits an electronics shop to buy microchips. Her human appearance is therefore less a portrait of who she is than a rough mask chosen for passing among people.
Description
In her outward guise, she is a short woman with a worn, rough appearance and vulgar clothing. The text gives no precise details about her age, skin tone, hair, eyes, facial features, or build beyond her short stature. Her overall impression is gritty and streetwise, visually associated with a dirty alley and an unpolished, conspicuous style.
