The mating bond is a rare, invisible magical connection that links two matched equals among the High Fae, first introduced in A Court of Thorns and Roses as a near-mythical union. In A Court of Mist and Fury, it becomes central to the story when Rhysand reveals that he and Feyre are mates, a bond he sensed long before she did and kept hidden. Felt through mental shields as an internal tug, the bond transforms into a song without end or beginning once Feyre acknowledges and accepts it, cementing her break from Tamlin and her new life in the Night Court.
