The Suriel is an ancient, truth-bound oracle of Prythian, a skeletal, bone-bodied creature with a lipless, brown-toothed grin and spindly fingers that must answer honestly when caught. First encountered as a terrifying source of hidden knowledge, it becomes an unlikely ally to Feyre Archeron, who traps it to learn secrets she could not otherwise obtain. In A Court of Mist and Fury, now cloaked in a fine mantle over its tattered robes, it reveals how to heal the poisoned Rhysand and delivers the bombshell that he is Feyre's mate, asking only that she one day set it free.

Description

A tall, thin figure hunched beneath dark tattered robes, with visible knobs of spine pressing through the fabric. Spindly gray arms covered in scabs extend from the sleeves, fingers tipped with yellowed, cracked nails. The face is nothing but dried, weatherworn bone with a lipless mouth full of too-long teeth set in blackened gums. Milky white eyes swirl in empty sockets above slitted nostrils, while bare, gnarled feet peek from beneath the robes. A towering, powerful humanoid creature whose body appears made of solid, worn bone. It has a lipless mouth with oversized stained brown teeth and long, spindly bone fingers. It wears tattered robes, with a fine cloak added over them.
