The Middengard Worm is a colossal, pinkish-brown monster kept by Amarantha Under the Mountain, its gaping maw lined with concentric rings of razor-sharp teeth. In the first of Feyre's three trials, she must survive it in a muddy labyrinth of trenches, and she outwits the blind but relentless beast by luring it into a trap of bones. The creature's horror outlives the trial itself: in A Court of Mist and Fury it returns as a recurring nightmare, a symbol of the trauma Feyre carries from her time Under the Mountain.

Description

The Middengard Worm is a colossal pinkish-brown worm-like monster whose bulbous body surges and twists with horrific ease. Its front end has transformed into an enormous mouth filled with multiple concentric rings of razor-sharp teeth, allowing it to barrel forward and shred anything in its path. A massive wyrm with sharp, flesh-shredding teeth. It barrels through a muddy trench.
